Summer Scrumptiousness…

As we move into the Summer season, Yorkshires produce is at is ripest and freshest. Annabel’s of Leeds strawberries, Yellinsons goats cheese, Whitby crab and Yorkshire lamb, beef and pork are all now in our kitchen, and our Head Chef Toby and his team have been using these amazing ingredients to create some absolutely scrumptious summer delights to titillate your tastebuds.

Amongst our stunning new starters is Whitby crab: white crab meat, Isle of Wight tomatoes, shaved fennel and pink grapefruit tart served with frisée lettuce and brown crab custard. And to follow we now have our brand new duo of beef: salt aged fillet, stout braised shin, buttered mash, tender stem broccoli, Leeds blue pecorino, pickled shallot rings and red wine jus. And amongst our delectable desserts is our new lemon tart with meringue, clotted cream ice cream, lemon verbena jelly and passion fruit gel.

Looking for something super tasty for lunch? Then you’re at the right place!

From our amazing Tasting Board for two to share (or for one if you dare!), our Signature Burger oozing with vintage Cheddar and Smokey Bacon, or our irresistible Herb Crusted North Sea Haddock ‘Fish Pie’. Throw in our Classic North Sea Haddock & Chips, Chargrilled Free Range Chicken Breast or Courgette Fritters and there really is something for everyone and every occasion!

And if you’re in a hurry, phone ahead and pre order and we’ll have your favourite tasty morsels ready and waiting when you arrive.

Of course we still have our classic signature dishes such as our Boudin Noir and Trio of Pork but these are complemented by some stunning seasonal dishes such as our delicious Seared Scallops with Saffron Cauliflower, ‘Barnsley’ Lamb Chop, Sea Bream with Garlic King Prawns and our zingy Lemon Tart to name but a few. All delivered fresh daily and lovingly prepared by our passionate kitchen brigade.

And our Lunch and Midweek menus have also had a seasonal update with our Honey & Chilli Marinated Pork Steak, and oven baked Free Range Lemon Chicken also putting in an appearance.

So whatever your occasion, from a simple lunch with friends to a Celebration night out, we have it covered!

Harrogate Restaurant Week

We’re super excited to be participating in Harrogate Restaurant Week!

We are offering 3 courses for £20 from both our luscious Lunch Menu and our magnificent Midweek Menu.

Our Lunch Menu is available from Monday to Saturday from 12 noon until 2:00pm and our Midweek Menus is available from 5:00pm until 6:45pm from Monday until Friday.

As with all our menus, we use only the very finest ingredients, sourced from Yorkshire’s broad acres wherever possible and delivered fresh to the restaurant every day… nothing frozen!

It’s nearly Valentines Day!

And to celebrate, we’re are offering you “A Taste of The Tannin Level’ – a 7 course Tasting Menu, based upon some of our most popular dishes from the last couple of years.

This rather special menu is available in addition to our A La Carte Menu, so the choice is yours.

We have also paired some fabulous wines with the dishes on the Tasting Menu and we are serving these by the glass, so you can choose as many of these option as you wish, or if you prefer to choose your own or order a bottle then of course that’s fine too!

Of course it features our locally reared Roast Turkey with all the trimmings, followed by Christmas Pudding, but we also have a host of other Festive Treats to gently ease you into the Festive Season.

Our Summer A La Carte Menu is here!

Our new Summer A La Carte Menu looks better than ever. We have the very finest local ingredients, from some of the finest farmers and producers in the country, all delivered fresh to the restaurant every day. Nothing at The Tannin Level comes out of a freezer (apart from Ice Cream!)

Our brigade have used these fantastic ingredients to put together a menu of delicious dishes with some fabulous flavour combinations, and sticking by our mantra, the natural flavours of the key ingredients are never overshadowed, always allowing that incredible local provenance to shine through.

Our Scrumptious Spring Menus Have Arrived!

As Spring blooms we cherish the arrival of Asparagus, Hispi Cabbage, Courgettes, Rhubarb and Mediterranean Vegetables amongst others. And all these wonderful ingredients are putting in an appearance in our new Spring Dishes from Monday 3rd April.

Of course our Signature Dishes are still there but accompanied by some delicious fresh Spring Dishes we’re sure you’ll love. As ever, all our ingredients are sourced from the finest local, high welfare producers who deliver fresh to ur door daily (nothing out of a freezer except ice cream!)
