4th July: Independents Day!

It’s Official!
At last, we have the go ahead to open our doors and fire up the stoves on Saturday 4th July.

And what better way to celebrate the re opening of the Harrogate Hospitality industry than by supporting our local Independents?

There are some amazing and long established independent restaurants in Harrogate; The Tannin Level of course, but also Sasso, Papas, William & Victoria, The Drum and Monkey to name but a few, all established Harrogate institutions, some of them (like us) for over 30 years!

We have all been closed since the 23rd March, and of course we are very excited to be opening our doors again very soon – so lets make it special, lets make the 4th July INDEPENDENTS DAY!

Its Mothers Day at The Tannin Level!

It’s Mothers Day on Sunday 22nd March. And whilst we all love our Mums, what better way to show them our love than by treating them to a Mothers Day Sunday Lunch at The Tannin Level?

We’re taking bookings now, (simply use the booking form here on our website, or call or email the restaurant), and to show how much we appreciate all the Mums in the world, we’re going to greet them all on the day with a complimentary glass of Prosecco!

So go on, book a table now and show your Mum the love…

Coronavirus – Covid-19

Whilst ever we are allowed to stay open during the current outbreak of Covid-19, we want to create an environment in which all our guests and staff feel comfortable, safe and protected. We are therefore working hard following the advice from both the Government and the NHS in an effort to avoid unnecessary risks for both our guests and our staff and detail below the measures both we and our guests should undertake:

The Restaurant

Whilst we always clean our surfaces, dining tables etc with a professional grade sanitiser after every use, this is being stepped up to include all door handles and any other surface with which a guest might come into contact during their visit. Any utensils that our guests and staff may come into contact with within the restaurant are thoroughly sterilised after every use.

Staff

Any staff feeling unwell, particularly with a cough or fever will be asked to self-isolate at home in line with Government guidelines. This includes staff who live with or have been in contact with any other person showing these symptoms.

All staff are washing their hands every 20 minutes during their shift in line with Government and NHS guidelines.

Guests

If you feel unwell, particularly if you have a new persistent cough and / or a fever, please follow Government guidelines and self-isolate. Please don’t visit the restaurant until your symptoms are completely clear.

Please wash your hands when you arrive at the restaurant and continue to do so whenever practical during your stay. Please also be aware that for both the safety of staff and guests, we have asked staff to avoid any physical contact with guests, such as shaking hands.

We would like to thank you all for continuing to support your local businesses, and for your help and understanding. Of course, if you’re fit and well, we very much look forward to welcoming you to The Tannin Level soon!

We’re open from 12 noon until 9pm daily (9.30pm on Saturday) and will be serving our Lunch, Early Bird and A La Carte menus showcasing the finest local seasonal ingredients the Great County of Yorkshire has to offer.

We do wish all Harrogate’s visitors a wonderful experience and we of course hope that you pop in to see us during your time at the 2019 UCI World Championships, whether for a Tasty Hot Sandwich to eat on the go, or to join us in the Restaurant and enjoy Yorkshire on a Plate!

If you prefer red meat, there’s our Lamb rump with a Garlic & Thyme Croquette, Burnt Balsamic Onions, Cavolo Nero & a Minted Lamb Jus.

If you have a sweet tooth you could try our amazing Lemon and Prosecco Syllabub with Amaretto Crumb and Summer Berries.

Happy Easter everyone!

Spring…..

Well after being lulled into a false sense of security by ‘Tropical February’, the weather seems to have given us just long enough to do a full wardrobe change over, to then demand we put the Flip Flops and Parasols away and get the Wellies and Brollies back out. But to be fair we shouldn’t complain, no ‘Beast from the East’ this year touch wood!

Regardless of what The Elements throw our way our team of Chefs are very busy creating our ‘Spring Menu’ and as always sourcing the best available local ingredients to go into the dishes that come and join our menu.

Whilst we are all really looking forward to the arrival of the new Menu, ‘The Girls’ front of house are very happy that the Chocolate Brownie survived the menu change. They all seem to take ‘Quality Control’ very seriously when that particular item comes out of the oven…..can’t possibly imagine why!

We have a couple of dates for your diaries, the first is the ever moveable ‘Mother’s Day’ which is on Sunday 31stMarch (we would all have a fighting chance of remembering it if it didn’t move around quite so much, it doesn’t even stay in the same month!). Please book early to avoid disappointment, and more importantly finding yourself on the wrong side of your Mother when she asks where you are taking her on Sunday morning! The second is Easter Sunday on Sunday 21stApril, and we will be open for both from 12 ’til 5pm as usual.

So be it our delicious Sunday Roast – Rare Roast Salt Aged Beef, Locally Outdoor Reared Pork and Crackling, for those who can’t decide (namely me) there’s our ‘Half & Half’, ‘All the Veg’, our Vegetarian Roast Dinner served with Veggie Gravy or something from the A la Carte menu; we look forward to welcoming you all!
