Opening 17th May…. Hopefully!

After what seems an age, it appears that we will finally have the green light to open our doors and fire our stoves on the 17th May.

Whilst we are allowed to open for outdoor service only from the 12th April, our terrace really isn’t big enough to make this sustainable, so we really have no choice other than to wait until May when we can once again allow diners into our restaurant.

So our booking system is now open and we are now welcoming bookings from the 17th May onwards, and of course we are tremendously excited at the prospect of being able to serve you all again soon!

In the meantime stay safe and well and take care of yourselves and each other. The Tannin Level x

So, finally we can begin spreading some Christmas Cheer to the good folks of Harrogate. Welcome back everyone, thanks again for your amazing support (without which we wouldn’t be here) and we very much look forward to seeing you all in the run up to Christmas!

Happy Yorkshire Day!

We’re so proud to represent the very best of our great county’s produce.
Our farmers and artisan producers here in Yorkshire offer some of the very finest ingredients available anywhere in the world, and this is the inspiration for what we do here at The Tannin Level.

So to all our suppliers, thank you for what you do; you make us all so proud!

To all our lovely Guests, a huge thank you for supporting us; without you we couldn’t do what we do: Yorkshire on a Plate!

Rishi’s Reductions…. From 3rd August!

We are delighted to announce that The Tannin Level is participating in the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ campaign which commences on the 3rd August, for the month of August.

During this period, every one of our Guests will be entitled to 50% off their food and soft drinks bill (the rules exclude alcohol). The discount is capped at £10 per Guest.

And you don’t need to do anything, just book a table with us and we take care of the rest. The discount will be taken directly off the food and soft drink element of your bill at the end of your meal. And you can dine with us on this promotion as many times as you like during the month of August. That’s right, no limits!

The promotion applies to Lunch or Dinner, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (sorry, we’re closed on Mondays), so if you fancy a bit of a ‘Boris Bonus’, why not book your table now!

We Are Open!

At last, after what seems like a lifetime, we have finally re opened our doors and fired up our stoves. And how good it feels to see both very familiar and of course new faces too coming into the restaurant.

Naturally, we have completed our risk assessments etc, and we have put in place all the necessary measures to ensure that both our guests and staff can enjoy their Tannin Level experience safely.

If you are planing on visiting us, we would prefer you to book in advance to avoid disappointment, though we will accept walk ins where capacity allows. We will also ask for contact details for any walk ins to comply with the governments ‘track and trace’ efforts. We are sure you will understand!

We are very fortunate in so far as our restaurant is deceptively spacious, which means that most of our diners will be sat nearer to 2m apart rather than the required 1m. Which we hope means that the Tannin Level experience will feel as near normal as possible. Obviously, our lovely Italian Bridal Leather Menus and Flickering Candles on every table have had to be sidelined for now, but we are sure that given the circumstances our guests will understand!

We have re opened with our full menu, although at least for now the Pre Theatre / Early Bird Menu is not available, but we will of course review this as our numbers increase and our sales allow us to re introduce it. But for now all your favourites are there, Boudin Noir, Burnt Goats Cheese, Trio of Pork, Yorkshire Lamb Rump, Salt Aged Beef Rump Medallions, Pan Roasted Cod ‘Chunk’ to name but a few!

So to all our lovely friends and guests, come and join us; its been too long and we cant wait to see you all!

4th July: Independents Day!

It’s Official!
At last, we have the go ahead to open our doors and fire up the stoves on Saturday 4th July.

And what better way to celebrate the re opening of the Harrogate Hospitality industry than by supporting our local Independents?

There are some amazing and long established independent restaurants in Harrogate; The Tannin Level of course, but also Sasso, Papas, William & Victoria, The Drum and Monkey to name but a few, all established Harrogate institutions, some of them (like us) for over 30 years!

We have all been closed since the 23rd March, and of course we are very excited to be opening our doors again very soon – so lets make it special, lets make the 4th July INDEPENDENTS DAY!

Its Mothers Day at The Tannin Level!

It’s Mothers Day on Sunday 22nd March. And whilst we all love our Mums, what better way to show them our love than by treating them to a Mothers Day Sunday Lunch at The Tannin Level?

We’re taking bookings now, (simply use the booking form here on our website, or call or email the restaurant), and to show how much we appreciate all the Mums in the world, we’re going to greet them all on the day with a complimentary glass of Prosecco!

So go on, book a table now and show your Mum the love…

Coronavirus – Covid-19

Whilst ever we are allowed to stay open during the current outbreak of Covid-19, we want to create an environment in which all our guests and staff feel comfortable, safe and protected. We are therefore working hard following the advice from both the Government and the NHS in an effort to avoid unnecessary risks for both our guests and our staff and detail below the measures both we and our guests should undertake:

The Restaurant

Whilst we always clean our surfaces, dining tables etc with a professional grade sanitiser after every use, this is being stepped up to include all door handles and any other surface with which a guest might come into contact during their visit. Any utensils that our guests and staff may come into contact with within the restaurant are thoroughly sterilised after every use.

Staff

Any staff feeling unwell, particularly with a cough or fever will be asked to self-isolate at home in line with Government guidelines. This includes staff who live with or have been in contact with any other person showing these symptoms.

All staff are washing their hands every 20 minutes during their shift in line with Government and NHS guidelines.

Guests

If you feel unwell, particularly if you have a new persistent cough and / or a fever, please follow Government guidelines and self-isolate. Please don’t visit the restaurant until your symptoms are completely clear.

Please wash your hands when you arrive at the restaurant and continue to do so whenever practical during your stay. Please also be aware that for both the safety of staff and guests, we have asked staff to avoid any physical contact with guests, such as shaking hands.

We would like to thank you all for continuing to support your local businesses, and for your help and understanding. Of course, if you’re fit and well, we very much look forward to welcoming you to The Tannin Level soon!
